Slack is everywhere,

but you must look for it to find it

Slack Tasks Part 2

Evening service starts at 5, but let’s be honest, often we don’t get really busy until 7. This often results in the front of house team having fewer guests to warmly greet than needed to keep them occupied and stimulated.

By the time 7pm comes around, they have been half-heartedly looking busy for two hours, and any energy they had at the start of the shift has sapped away with boredom.

Too often, there isn’t a plan for the shift, but having one full of slack-time tasks not only keeps the shift running smoothly when it does get busier, but also keeps the team’s heads in the game.

Committing to the importance of having a welcoming smile from a member of the team when customers arrive, without wasting the potential productivity of the team before the rush at 7pm, is a game changer for the whole team and guest experience.
